Noren Collection

Noren is a traditional Japanese fabric divider with a vertical slit that was originated in the Heian period. You can find noren hung across the front entrance of Japanese shops or used on room entrances. The purpose of the noren is not only utilitarian by keeping the sun, wind, and dust from entering the shop, but it also conveys to the public that the shop is open for business. It is also used in the house at the room entrance to create a little privacy.

The noren curtains do not come with a hanging rod.
